About Me

Hi! I'm Lauren
"Necessity is the mother of invention." always comes to mind when people ask me how I got started making jewelry. I never studied jewelry design nor did I ever have any intention of making any until I was let go from a job in 2015.

My daughter, Michelle, handed me a box of Flourite rocks and said, "Mom, you can make something out of these." Fast forward to today where I am now making one-of-a-kind gemstone jewelry for friends, family and strangers that have become dear friends. Local craft fairs and farmers markets are where you can usually find me.

I have always loved working with elements from the earth such as stone, wood, metal and fibers. These materials were the building blocks in my past career as an interior and architectural designer and still are today with Native Roots.
When I'm not designing new collections, pitching a tent or learning a challenging new technique, I am spending time crafting jewelry on a more personal level. A custom made one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry can be created just for you, to reflect your personality and style or hold memories. Come by my tent and I'll make you something or if you are too far away ~ click the Get In Touch button and send me a message.
